Dump Truck Driver- Class A or B

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, safety-focused Tri-Axle Dump Truck Driver to transport aggregates, dirt, rock, and site materials between active earthwork construction sites, quarries, and material yards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong driving record and demonstrated skill in safely maneuvering loaded tri-axle trucks on public roadways and tight residential/commercial construction jobsite. Key Responsibilities Hauling & Jobsite Navigation Safely operate tri-axle dump trucks to transport stone, dirt, demolition debris, and site materials. Navigate site conditions, including unpaved haul roads, tight jobsite, fill areas, and varying grades. Safely maneuver within quarries, sand/gravel pits, and asphalt plants, strictly adhering to facility rules, scale protocols, and traffic patterns. Safety & Equipment Operation Conduct thorough Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections daily, including air brakes, tires, steering, hydraulics, tailgate latches, and tarps. Maintain strict compliance with overhead line clearances, checking for power lines, trees, and structures prior to raising the dump bed. Properly secure all loads, operate automatic/manual tarping systems, and ensure tailgates are securely locked before entering public roadways. Adhere strictly to DOT, OSHA, and MSHA safety regulations, as well as company speed, weight, and safety policies. Maintenance & Care Keep truck interior clean, organized, and presentable. Perform basic driver-level maintenance: topping off fluids, checking tire pressures, greasing grease points, and reporting mechanical concerns to the shop mechanic immediately. Monitor truck performance during operation and log any engine, brake, or hydraulic issues. Documentation & Communication Maintain accurate daily haul tickets and fuel logs. Communicate clearly with dispatch, site foremen, and quarry scale clerks regarding haul schedules, turn times, and site conditions. Qualifications Required Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Valid Class A or Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record (MVR). Experience: Minimum 1+ years of verifiable experience driving tri-axle dump trucks Medical Certification: Valid DOT Medical Card.
