Dump Truck Driver Class 1

Responsibilities Safely operate Class 1 dump trucks to haul materials such as gravel, dirt, or other bulk commodities to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring all safety features and mechanical systems are in optimal condition. Load and unload materials efficiently, utilizing forklift skills when necessary to handle freight or assist with equipment setup. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate schedules and address any operational issues promptly. Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to minimize downtime and keep trucks in top condition. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, road rules, and site-specific procedures to promote a secure work environment. Experience Proven experience operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles, specifically Class 1 dump trucks or similar equipment. Demonstrated ability to perform forklift operations and handle freight logistics efficiently. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with safety standards related to commercial driving, heavy machinery, and freight handling.
