We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Dump Truck Driver to join our team and support our excavation and construction operations. Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating commercial dump trucks on various routes, while adhering to all safety and DOT regulations. This role requires proficiency in manual transmission driving and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in transporting materials to designated locations. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes. Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards during every trip. Drive manual transmission trucks, demonstrating skill and precision in handling different terrains and road conditions. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo as required by DOT regulations. Load and unload materials as needed, ensuring secure transportation of goods. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules, deliveries, and any issues encountered during trips. Adhere to company policies regarding safety procedures, driving protocols, and operational guidelines. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump truck operation. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with dump trucks. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles proficiently. Knowledge of DOT regulations. Strong attention to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Physical ability to perform tasks related to loading, unloading, and vehicle inspections. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Ability to climb in and out of the truck repeatedly. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials or equipment weighing 50+lbs as needed. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, construction traffic, dust, and noise.
