Dump Truck Driver – Aggregate Hauling Job Summary – We are seeking an experienced and dependable Dump Truck Driver to haul aggregates and construction materials in South Florida to and from our jobsites. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, reliable, familiar with Florida roads and construction sites, and committed to maintaining the truck and completing deliveries efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a dump truck while hauling aggregate and construction materials. Load, transport, and unload materials at quarries, plants, and construction sites. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues. Secure loads and operate the truck in accordance with company and DOT safety requirements. Safely navigate construction sites, tight job sites, uneven terrain, and active work zones. Maintain accurate delivery tickets, weight information, and other required paperwork. Keep the truck clean, schedule maintenance, and identify potential mechanical problems. Communicate professionally with site supervisors, loaders, project managers, and office staff. Use the three-point contact method when entering and exiting the truck, can help to significantly reduce the chance of a serious injury from a slip or fall. Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Attend weekly safety meetings. Maintain a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and courteous customer service. Qualifications Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) , as required for the equipment operated. Clean and safe driving record. Previous dump truck, aggregate, construction, quarry, or heavy-haul experience preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe commercial vehicle operation. Ability to safely operate a dump body and related controls. Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions. Ability to perform frequent entering and exiting of the truck and other physical job duties. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Bilingual – English and Spanish a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and operate a commercial vehicle for extended periods. Ability to climb in and out of the truck repeatedly with excellent hand-eye-foot coordination. Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull a minimum of 15 pounds. Ability to work around dust, noise, heat, and active construction equipment. Ability to safely perform job duties in varying weather and job-site conditions. Schedule & Work Environment – this position may require early morning starts, extended workdays, overtime, and occasional weekend work or night work , depending on project and customer requirements. Most work will involve traveling between aggregate facilities and construction sites in South Florida.
