Our work includes hauling materials such as asphalt, milling, rock, gravel, sand, and soil. We are looking for a dependable and motivated Dump Truck Driver to join our team and help us continue providing reliable service to our customers throughout North Carolina. Position Overview The Dump Truck Driver will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck while transporting construction and aggregate materials to and from job sites throughout North Carolina. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, hardworking, and comfortable working in a construction and material-hauling environment. While experience is important to us, we are especially interested in drivers who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, willingness to learn, and a commitment to doing the job correctly. Primary Responsibilities Safely operate a company dump truck while traveling to and from job sites. Transport materials such as asphalt, milling, rock, gravel, sand, soil, and other construction materials as assigned. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Ensure the truck is operated safely and responsibly at all times. Follow applicable traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures. Safely load, transport, and unload materials. Communicate professionally with dispatch, supervisors, customers, job-site personnel, and other drivers. Follow directions regarding pickup and delivery locations. Maintain awareness of surroundings when entering, leaving, and operating around construction sites. Properly secure and handle materials as required. Report mechanical problems, safety concerns, damage, or other issues promptly. Keep the truck reasonably clean and maintain the vehicle in accordance with company expectations. Complete required paperwork, logs, inspection reports, or other documentation accurately. Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled work. Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers, coworkers, and other personnel. Follow all company safety expectations and applicable regulatory requirements. Ability to report to work consistently and on time. Ability to meet applicable company, safety, and regulatory requirements. Preferred Qualifications The following are preferred but may not be required for every applicant: 2–3+ years of commercial driving experience. Previous dump-truck experience.
