Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport and deliver construction materials, debris, and other bulk cargo across various job sites and routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle diverse cargo types will ensure timely deliveries and efficient operations. Duties Safely operate dump trucks equipped with manual transmissions, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers to transport materials over over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries Load and unload cargo with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of freight such as hazardous materials or dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations Navigate using GPS systems to follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, including checking load integrity, safety equipment, brakes, tires, and fluid levels Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit Assist with truck loading and unloading processes when necessary, ensuring cargo is handled safely and efficiently Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record suitable for tractor-trailer operation Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers or flatbed trucks Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials handling procedures Experience operating refrigerated trailers, tankers, or flatbed trucks is preferred Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles comfortably and perform manual handling tasks safely Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling processes for freight transportation across diverse environments Excellent navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes Physical ability to load/unload cargo manually when required; capable of lifting heavy loads safely Join our team as a Dump Truck Driver if you’re passionate about delivering quality service safely while working in a fast-paced environment.
