Dump Truck Driver
ConfidentialJob Summary As a Dump Truck Driver, you’ll safely transport and deliver materials to support active job sites and keep work moving. You’ll inspect and operate a dump truck, plan routes, and coordinate loading and unloading with site teams. This role calls for dependable driving, careful cargo handling, and consistent compliance with applicable transportation and safety requirements. Duties Drive dump trucks on local route-driving assignments and, as needed, over-the-road (OTR) routes; use GPS navigation to follow directions and adjust routes safely. Inspect vehicles before and after trips, report maintenance or safety concerns, and operate manual-transmission vehicles when assigned. Coordinate truck loading and unloading, including manual handling and logistics cargo handling; secure freight and confirm loads are appropriate for the vehicle. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, and applicable hazardous materials regulations when handling dangerous goods. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help site crews receive materials and maintain steady progress. Qualifications Required: Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle, safe driving record, and ability to perform required manual handling. Required: Commercial truck driving, truck driving, commercial driving, delivery driving, or delivery driver experience; familiarity with route driving and tractor-trailer operation is valuable. Preferred: Experience with refrigerated trailers, automobile transportation, flatbed or tanker equipment, and freight loading and unloading. Preferred: Hazmat (hazardous materials) experience or relevant endorsement; knowledge of dangerous goods handling and applicable regulations. Dump truck experience is an asset; candidates should be prepared to follow assigned routes, site procedures, and vehicle-specific safety requirements. Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location: On the road
