Our work involves upgrading key infrastructure under the ground in addition to providing quality surface works, as well as mechanical systems, process works, water and wastewater and general infrastructure projects. Job Posting: Dump Truck Driver We’re looking for a self-directed, energetic, team player to join our team as a Truck Driver. This is a full time, permanent, hourly position. We offer a full, competitive compensation package, including benefits and pension. Must be comfortable pulling a tag float. Key Responsibilities: · Ensure that the truck is operated with the utmost safety and concern, basic service are performed daily. · Ensure compliance with applicable acts and regulations such as compliance with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and the Highway Traffic Act, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, and weights and dimensions. · Perform appropriate trip inspections (circle checks) on equipment operated and load; ensuring safety and roadworthiness before, during, and after run, and report any defects to the shop foreperson. · Complete all regulatory paperwork; record and maintain required documentation (i.e. duty status and form entry requirements, trip inspection reports, time sheets, daily logs), by manual or electronic means; ensure the documentation is complete and accurate, and submit to dispatch on a daily basis. · Report accidents and traffic violations to the Site supervisor. · Capable of self-loading the truck. · Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up. · A highly productive driver, you ensure that you haul all materials (granules, water, etc) to job site and remove excavated material from job site in a timely manner. · Ensure records of transportation are completed accurately and in a timely manner · Communicate with crew, other truck drivers, acting as a team player · Ensure that loads are secured and that you follow all safety protocols. · Ensure proper cycle times so that crews are never without a truck · Be safety conscious and aware of surroundings and conditions at all times. Qualifications: Must have a valid AZ license. Capable of running a wheel loader is an asset. General interest in construction equipment would be an asset. Strong organizational skills with clear oral and written communication abilities. Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques. Strong work ethic; Must be organized and have initiative to get things done Ability to think and work independently; must be able to work with little supervision.
