Dump truck and pony driver class 1

Metro Contracting Ltd. we are an excavation & demolition company operating around the Lower Mainland, We are seeking a skilled truck pony driver to join our team Requirements: Proven experience operating Dump truck and tridem pony unit Skilled at safely navigating the combination in city environments Comfortable backing, positioning, and maneuvering in tight jobsite conditions Valid Class 1 license with a clean driving abstract. min. 3 years experience required Duties & Responsibilities: Deliver and pick up materials to and from jobsites, gravel pits, and dump sites Operate truck and transfer safely and efficiently Complete daily pre-trip, post-trip inspections and complete inspection report Communicate clearly with dispatch, site supervisors and gravel pit personnel Maintain a professional attitude on jobsites and public roads Must be organized, keep track of documents. Complete daily paperwork to Metro Contracting standards Must be able to show up to work on-time, in good condition and with a positive attitude Able to listen, understand and perform duties as instructed Must be prepared to wear appropriate PPE (steel toe boots and hi-vis vest mandatory) What We Offer: Steady, year-round work Competitive wages based on experience Well-maintained equipment Opportunity to grow with a busy earthworks company Job advancement within our company to learn to operate truck and transfer Pay: $29.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week Experience: Dump truck driving: 3 years (preferred) Language: English (required) Licence/Certification: Class 1 Licence (required) Work Location: In person
