DSD/Scan Coordinator

Position Summary: The DSD and Scan Coordinator plays a vital role in the inventory management process. This position involves receiving deliveries, accurately scanning and logging merchandise, ensuring that all products are correctly entered into the inventory system, and maintaining the stores pricing integrity. The DSD/Scan Coordinator will inspect shipments for quality and accuracy, handle discrepancies with suppliers, and organize products in the storage areas for easy access. Attention to detail is crucial as the coordinator maintains accurate records and ensures proper documentation. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with other departments to facilitate smooth stock replenishment and maintain optimal inventory levels. The DSD/Scan Coordinator is responsible for upholding high standards of organization and efficiency, contributing to the overall operational success of the supermarket. Key Responsibilities: (Responsibilities may vary depending on assignment.) Provide outstanding customer service. Checks in deliveries. Prints and hangs tags and signs for regular price changes, ADs, specials, etc. Ensure known loss is properly recorded. Key invoices into receiving system. Provides security to the back door of the store. Turns in credits for missing or damaged product. Performs weekly aisle scans to ensure correct pricing/signage. Properly disposes of damaged or recalled product. Collaborate with department managers to ensure their department needs are met pertaining to pricing, tags, signage, credits, etc. Assist with planogram and display setups. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of current ADs and managers specials. May assist with stocking product as directed by management. May operate a baler (18+ years old), manual pallet jack, and electric pallet jack (18+ years old). Follows safety and security procedures. Assist on the front-end with cashier and carryout duties as needed. Any other responsibilities as assigned by manager. Work Environment: May be exposed to all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, ice and wind) as well as, inside work with variations in heat, cold, dust, and humidity. Work may be performed inside of walk-in coolers and freezers. Fast paced retail environment. Physical Requirements: Frequently moves, lifts, and carries merchandise and supplies weighing less than or equal to 0 pounds without assistance. Occasionally moves, lifts, and carries merchandise and supplies weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting with or without bearing weight. Occasionally required to climb and/or crawl. Work mostly in receiving area or backroom of the store. Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer. Some of the work will also require walking the sales floor to hang tags, signage, etc. Qualifications & Other Job Requirements: Previous experience in a retail or grocery environment preferred, but not required. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Minimum age requirement = 18 years old.
