Dry van dispatcher

Job Overview As a Dry Van Dispatcher, you’ll coordinate freight movements and keep drivers, customers, and internal teams aligned throughout each shipment. You’ll use dispatch tools, transportation management systems, and clear communication to support safe, timely road transportation operations. This role suits an organized problem-solver who can manage changing priorities and provide responsive customer service. Responsibilities Dispatch dry van loads, coordinate driver assignments, and monitor shipment progress using GPS and vehicle dispatch software. Manage phone calls and multi-line phone systems; share timely updates with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Enter and maintain accurate shipment, driver, and fleet records in transportation management systems, including Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine where applicable. Review routing and shipment information, apply analysis skills, and support transportation planning and broader supply chain logistics. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and use geographic information system (GIS) tools when relevant. Your impact: Accurate dispatching and proactive communication help drivers stay informed and help customers receive dependable freight service. Requirements Strong communication, phone etiquette, organizational, typing, and data entry skills; experience with phone call management and internal communication is valuable. Background in dispatching, transportation management, fleet management, freight, logistics, or road transportation operations is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, transportation management systems, GPS, and vehicle dispatch software is preferred; Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine experience is a plus. Knowledge of DOT regulations, supply chain processes, transportation planning, and GIS is beneficial. Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with sound judgment. Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Benefits: Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
