Driver/Warehouse Worker

Job Description: Composite Manufacturing Inc. is an established family run company that focuses its development and manufacturing efforts toward the medical market with emphasis on the surgical arena. We are the primary surgical table accessory supplier for the world’s largest surgical support company. The Driver/Warehouse worker is responsible for safely driving company vehicles primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or to deliver packages and performing various warehouse functions. These may include receiving and processing freight, managing and moving inventory, and loading and shipping items. Attention to safety is a must. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to safely operate company vehicles including light weight box truck. Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, windshield, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Identify and report vehicle issues for maintenance and repair. Present bills, receipts, or money, such as gas or propane, and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded to give to the Supervisor. Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles up to 50 pounds, unassisted. Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers. Maintain records, such as travel logs, records of cargo, travel time, 30 min lunch break and work hours Perform warehouse work when not delivering or picking up parts in the company vehicle Reliably pull and process orders, logging items as required Accurately restock incoming items, logging items as required Operate a forklift, as needed Keep the warehouse clean and organized Qualifications: Driver’s License with clean driving record Excellent customer service skills Must possess computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases Must be reliable and have a positive attitude. High school diploma or equivalent Solid work history that demonstrates reliability; warehouse work experience is a plus Ability to work overtime as needed. Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and good communication skills required Ability to work well on a team and maintain cooperative and professional relationships Forklift certification and experience is a plus Professional appearance Physical Requirements: This is a traditional warehouse environment and all applicants should be able to adapt to the typical environmental characteristics of a warehouse. Examples of some of the physical requirements include: Ability to stand for extended periods – 8 hours minimum Able to regularly sit, stoop, bend, crawl, reach, maneuver in tight spaces and move about the facility Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
