Driver Trainer

Are you passionate about safety, training, and helping drivers succeed? Transport National is seeking a Driver Trainer to lead our driver onboarding, development, and retention efforts. This role is critical to ensuring drivers understand and meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service while feeling supported throughout their careers. Driver Training & Development Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Driver Training Program that aligns with company policies, FMCSA regulations, and industry best practices. Train, mentor, and support newly hired drivers throughout the onboarding process. Serve as the primary point of contact for new drivers during their first year of employment. Conduct scheduled follow-up meetings to provide coaching, monitor performance, and address concerns. Create and maintain engaging training materials, including videos, presentations, and interactive learning modules. Facilitate monthly safety meetings and remedial training sessions as needed. Assist with ELD system management and provide real-time Hours of Service (HOS) support. Support safety initiatives through CSA monitoring, driver coaching, and compliance improvement efforts. Partner with Human Resources and Operations on driver recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives. Additional Responsibilities Travel to company terminals and other locations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and safety objectives. Qualifications Required Valid Class A CDL. Minimum of 1-5 years of professional driving experience or equivalent transportation industry experience. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and interstate freight operations. Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ELD systems and Hours of Service compliance. Experience creating training materials, presentations, or instructional content. Why Join Transport National?
