Responsibilities
• Safely operate commercial trucks and automobiles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws to deliver products to retail stores.
• Conduct route driving efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups across designated areas.
• Perform heavy lifting and safe lifting practices when handling merchandise, ensuring products are loaded and unloaded securely.
• Merchandize products at retail locations by organizing displays, pricing items accurately, and maintaining visual appeal to maximize sales.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional communication, understanding client needs, and providing excellent customer service.
• Upsell additional products or promotions during deliveries to increase sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory levels, pricing adjustments, and route logs for organizational efficiency.
Skills
• Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and automobile transportation.
• Knowledge of pricing strategies and basic math skills for accurate transactions and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Familiarity with retail store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving for safety compliance.
• Organizational skills to manage schedules, routes, and product displays effectively.
• Customer relationship building skills to foster trust and repeat business.
