CAE Safety Consultants IncAbout the Role CAE Safety Consultants is seeking experienced, professional drivers to join our team as Driver Safety Evaluators . In this role, you will conduct in-vehicle driving evaluations and safety assessments for adult corporate drivers , ensuring they meet established driving standards required by their employers. This position is evaluation- and assessment-focused , with coaching provided as needed to support improvement. You will work with professional adults (not teenagers) in a respectful, corporate environment. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity , well suited to experienced drivers, former law enforcement personnel, driver assessors, fleet professionals, or individuals seeking meaningful work in semi-retirement. Why This Role Appeals to Experienced Professionals Work primarily as an evaluator , not a traditional instructor Interact with professional adult drivers , not student drivers Flexible scheduling (ideal for semi-retirement or supplemental income) Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Variety of work: in-vehicle evaluations, written reports, and some classroom-based safety sessions Make a measurable impact on corporate driver safety and risk reduction Professional, respectful client settings Key Responsibilities Conduct in-vehicle driving evaluations and safety assessments Observe and assess driver behavior in urban, highway, rural, and gravel road environments Provide clear, professional feedback to drivers following evaluations Prepare detailed written evaluation reports for corporate clients Identify safety risks, skill gaps, and improvement opportunities Deliver occasional classroom-based driver safety presentations (as needed) Travel within Alberta and occasionally to BC or Saskatchewan (approximately 25%) Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of driving experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to objectively assess driving behavior and performance Professional demeanor and comfort working independently Experience working with adult professionals in a coaching or assessment role Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record Willingness to travel for client assignments Preferred Qualifications (Assets, Not Required) Experience in driver evaluation, fleet safety, law enforcement, or driver education Professional driver training or evaluator certification Experience driving: Commercial or fleet vehicles Gravel road and rural driving experience Trailer towing experience Experience facilitating safety training or workshops for small or large groups You do not need experience in all areas to apply.
