Driver Safety & Compliance Coordinator

POSITION DRIVER SAFETY & COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR Artel Logistics is looking for a responsible, organized, and detail-oriented Driver Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join our Pittsburgh-area office. This is an in-office position working directly with our drivers, Safety, Fleet, and Operations teams. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with driver onboarding and orientation * Prepare and maintain driver safety and compliance documentation * Verify driver qualification and required documents * Conduct driver check-in and check-out procedures * Verify drivers’ Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI) knowledge during onboarding * Complete truck handover and return inspections * Check trucks for visible damage, missing equipment, and safety issues * Photograph and document vehicle condition * Report and document damages or discrepancies through company systems * Follow up with drivers regarding required safety and compliance items * Maintain organized driver files and internal records * Support the Safety Department with day-to-day compliance activities * Coordinate with Fleet and Operations when driver or equipment issues require attention What We’re Looking For: * Strong attention to detail * Excellent organization and communication skills * Comfortable communicating directly with truck drivers * Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate documentation * Responsible, dependable, and able to hold people accountable * Basic computer skills * Trucking or transportation experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate This position is a good opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in trucking safety, DOT compliance, and fleet operations.
