Driver Safety Advisor

Driver Safety Advisor (CDL Required) Location: St. Cloud, MN Do You Love Trucking, Safety, and Helping Drivers Succeed? If you've spent time behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer and enjoy helping others become safer, more successful drivers, ATS wants to talk to you! We're looking for a Driver Safety Advisor (DSA) to join our Safety & Risk Management team. In this role, you'll combine your CDL experience, coaching skills, and transportation knowledge to help professional drivers improve safety performance, reduce risk, and build successful careers. This is more than a safety job. It's an opportunity to be a mentor, problem solver, advocate, and trusted resource for drivers across our fleet. What You'll Be Doing Coach and mentor drivers on safety, compliance, and risk-reduction strategies Analyze driver performance, safety trends, and compliance data to identify opportunities for improvement Partner with Driver Managers and operational teams to support driver success Create personalized development plans and recommend additional training when needed Assist with road tests, driver evaluations, and orientation activities Investigate trends involving accidents, injuries, and driver behavior to proactively reduce risk Maintain reports and documentation that support driver development efforts Build strong relationships with drivers while providing guidance, support, and accountability What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Current CDL and hands-on tractor-trailer driving experience Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices Strong communication, coaching, and presentation skills Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Preferred Qualifications Post-secondary education in Business, Transportation, Teaching, or a related field Experience developing and delivering training programs Knowledge of transportation safety technologies and accident mitigation systems Compensation & Benefits The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 . Base salary is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location, compared to others performing substantially similar work.
