Career Opportunity Owner/Operator AZ and Class 1, Driver Recruiter Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Owner/Operator Driver Recruiter plays a key role in supporting Canada Cartage’s growth by attracting and hiring top talent across the transportation sector. Location: Mississauga, Ontario Schedule: Monday to Friday (Day Shift) Type: Full-time, Permanent What you will do Manage full-cycle recruitment for owner/operator drivers across the business Source, screen, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements and company standards Partner closely with hiring managers and operations teams to understand hiring needs and priorities Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines Build strong relationships with Owner/Operators Track and report on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, and turnover Contribute ideas to improve processes, candidate experience, and overall recruitment effectiveness What You’ll Bring 3+ years of recruitment experience related to Driver recruitment, owner/operator recruitment or equivalent Transportation experience as a dispatcher and AZ driver and experience working with owner/operators, brokers, AZ drivers Exposure to knowledge of: CVOR, Driver Qualification files, commercial vehicle compliance; Insurance requirements, abstract and records; fuel surcharges, operating expenses Understanding of owner/operator pay structures and contracts Along with the following Skills & Competencies: Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills Ability to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in both French and English Strong relationship-building skills with candidates and internal stakeholders High level of organization, accountability, and sense of urgency Adaptability and problem-solving mindset Familiarity with ATS systems and recruitment tools is an asset Why people love working for Canada Cartage Cohesive team and a positive, hard-working atmosphere.
