Driver Recruiter Team DriveAway Location: Olathe, KS Position Type: Full-Time, In-Person (This is not a remote position) About the Role Team DriveAway is seeking a self-motivated, relationship-driven Recruiter to grow and support our network of professional over-the-road (OTR) drivers in Olathe, KS. This role is responsible for identifying and engaging qualified drivers, communicating the benefits of contracting with Team DriveAway, and guiding candidates through the application, qualification, and onboarding process. Success requires someone who takes initiative, works independently, and understands that recruiting is about building lasting relationships—not just bringing new drivers onto the team. This role also supports driver retention by maintaining positive relationships with our contracted drivers. Key Responsibilities Identify and engage prospective drivers through outbound calls, cold calling, referrals, and electronic communications. Communicate the benefits, requirements, and expectations of contracting with Team DriveAway. Build relationships with prospective drivers and provide timely follow-up throughout the recruiting process. Coordinate applications, qualifications, employment verifications, background checks, and onboarding in partnership with Operations and Safety. Maintain accurate candidate records and communication notes. Support driver retention by building and maintaining positive relationships with contracted drivers. Manage daily priorities independently while meeting recruiting and retention goals while providing a positive driver experience. Qualifications College degree preferred, or at least two years of experience in transportation, logistics, recruiting, sales, or a related field. Strong communication, relationship-building, listening, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, accountable, and highly organized, with the ability to independently manage daily responsibilities, prioritize multiple tasks and consistent follow-through to achieve recruitment goals in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. Comfortable with outbound calling and engaging prospective drivers. Experience with Tenstreet, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, or DOT/FMCSA platforms is preferred. Previous experience in driver recruiting, transportation, or relationship-based sales is a plus. Ability to learn company policies, driver qualification requirements, and the independent contractor model.
