We also do things a little differently: **we don't lie to our drivers.** Too many drivers have been burned by recruiters who promised the moon and delivered something else. We tell drivers the truth about pay, home time, and the job itself, and we build our team on that trust. We need a recruiter who works the same way. The Role We're looking for an experienced trucking recruiter to own the entire driver journey, from the first conversation to well after their first 90 days. You'll find great drivers, give them an honest picture of what we offer, guide them through FedEx's qualification process, get them onboarded smoothly, and stay in touch to make sure they're settled in and taking advantage of their benefits. What You'll Do ### Recruit Honestly - Source driver candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and outbound calls, and respond quickly to inbound leads. - Present our open positions accurately and transparently, including pay, home time, routes, and equipment, so drivers know exactly what they're signing up for. - Screen candidates for qualifications and fit, and be upfront with drivers when a role isn't the right match. ### Guide Drivers Through Qualification - Walk candidates step by step through FedEx's driver qualification process, including applications, employment verifications, MVRs, background checks, drug screens, and required documentation. - Proactively chase down employment verifications with previous employers to keep files from stalling. - Serve as the driver's main point of contact, following up on missing items and keeping the process moving so good candidates don't fall through the cracks. - Coordinate with FedEx's qualification team to resolve issues and track status. ### Onboard New Hires - Coordinate orientation, travel, and start dates, and make sure new drivers have everything they need on day one. - Complete internal hiring paperwork and keep records accurate and compliant. ### Support and Retain - Check in with new drivers at regular milestones through their first 90 days and beyond to catch questions or concerns early. - Make sure every driver understands the benefits available to them, including health, dental, and vision insurance, our 401(k) match, and paid time off. - Share driver feedback with leadership to help improve retention and the overall driver experience. ## What We're Looking For - You have trucking or transportation recruiting experience and understand what drivers care about and what questions they'll ask. - You're friendly, personable, and a strong communicator on the phone and in writing, and drivers enjoy talking with you. - You're honest, even when the honest answer isn't the one a candidate wants to hear.
