Role Description The Driver Recruiter is a full-time, on-site role based in Carol Stream, IL, responsible for identifying, attracting, and onboarding qualified commercial drivers. Day-to-day tasks include sourcing candidates through various channels, screening applications, conducting interviews, and coordinating pre-employment checks. The role involves maintaining accurate recruitment records, ensuring all hiring practices comply with DOT and company policies, and collaborating with operations and safety teams to align staffing needs. The Driver Recruiter also supports driver retention efforts by maintaining regular communication with drivers, addressing concerns, and promoting a positive employment experience. This position requires consistent on-site presence to meet with candidates and team members, and to represent the company at local recruiting events as needed. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong knowledge of DOT Regulations and compliance practices related to commercial driver hiring. Candidates should possess skills in Hiring, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding commercial drivers. Candidates should possess experience in Driver Retention, including relationship-building and supporting a positive driver experience. Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with drivers, internal teams, and external partners. Relevant qualifications include prior experience in driver recruiting or transportation HR, familiarity with applicant tracking systems, and strong organizational and time management skills. Additional beneficial qualifications include proficiency with basic office software, the ability to work on-site in Carol Stream, IL, and a high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in HR, business, or a related field is a plus.
