Swiftway Services LLC, an established, locally operated moving company serving Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia, is hiring dependable, hardworking Non-CDL Box Truck Drivers to join our moving team. We're looking for drivers who take pride in their work, understand the importance of customer service, and are willing to roll up their sleeves and work alongside their crews. IMPORTANT: THIS IS A DRIVER & MOVER POSITION All drivers are required to actively participate in moving duties. This is NOT a driving-only position. When you're not behind the wheel, you'll be working with your crew to safely load, transport, and unload customers' belongings. PAY & EARNING OPPORTUNITIES Starting pay: $19–$25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Customer tips: Additional earning opportunities Peak-season hours: Opportunities for extended workweeks Advancement: Opportunities to take on additional responsibilities as you gain experience YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate company 26-foot box trucks Load and unload furniture, appliances, boxes, and household goods Wrap, pad, secure, and protect customers' belongings Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed Safely lift, carry, and move heavy items alongside crew members Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service Work as part of a team to complete moves safely and efficiently WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Experience driving 16–26-foot box trucks preferred Prior professional moving or furniture delivery experience preferred Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding moving work Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude Strong customer service and communication skills Availability for variable work schedules, including weekends as needed Ability to follow company safety procedures and properly handle moving equipment Ability to obtain or possess a DOT card same day No CDL required for qualifying company vehicles and assignments. WORK SCHEDULE — PLEASE READ Swiftway operates year-round, but moving is a seasonal industry. Our weekly schedules fluctuate based on customer demand. During our busiest months, employees may have opportunities to work 2 0–60 hours per week , while slower periods, particularly during winter, may offer reduced hours. Weekly hours are not guaranteed. We are upfront about this because we value applicants who understand the nature of the moving industry and appreciate a flexible, variable-hours work environment. Customer tips and legally applicable overtime compensation provide additional earning opportunities.
