Driver/Mover
TWO MEN AND A TRUCKJob Summary As a Driver/Mover, you’ll transport and deliver items safely while helping customers through each step of the move. You’ll drive assigned vehicles, handle materials, and keep deliveries organized from pickup to drop-off. Your impact: Careful loading, safe driving, and respectful service help customers receive their belongings securely and on schedule. Duties Drive a 26ft box truck or other assigned vehicle on moving routes; follow traffic laws and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Load, unload, move, and secure items using safe lifting practices and material handling equipment such as a pallet jack, moving dollies and furniture protection. Complete delivery paperwork and update route or delivery details using mobile devices (tablet/smartphone). Communicate courteously with customers, confirm delivery instructions, and address routine service questions. Maintain vehicle and load readiness, and report delivery, equipment, or safety concerns promptly. Skills Required: Valid Medical Card, driving abilities appropriate to assigned vehicles, safe driving habits, customer service skills, and ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting. Preferred: Warehouse experience, warehouse operations, delivery driver or courier experience, route driving, commercial driving or commercial truck driving, and van driver experience. Familiarity with box trucks, manual transmission, daily truck inspections, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment is helpful. Understand load and unload procedures, workplace weight-handling practices, and safe moving techniques.
