Grass Valley Trucking LLCDriver Manager Job Overview The Driver Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the transportation team, ensuring efficient and compliant road transportation services. This role involves managing driver schedules, coordinating logistics, and maintaining adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The Driver Manager plays a key role in ensuring safety, vehicle maintenance, and regulatory compliance while optimizing transportation workflows through effective management systems. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily road transportation operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods or services. Oversee driver scheduling, routing, and dispatching to maximize productivity and service quality. Ensure all transportation activities comply with DOT regulations and safety standards. Manage transportation management systems to monitor fleet performance, also monitor driver scores using SAMSARA ELD SYSTEM Oversee maintenance servicing and repairs of vehicles to ensure safety and reliability of the fleet. Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule routine inspections and address any vehicle issues promptly. Monitor driver performance, provide coaching or training as needed, and enforce company policies. Maintain accurate records related to transportation activities, compliance documentation, and vehicle maintenance logs. Address any operational issues or emergencies that arise during transportation activities promptly and effectively. Skills Strong knowledge of road transportation operations and logistics management. Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance requirements. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) for fleet tracking and reporting. Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage drivers and coordinate logistics efficiently. Ability to oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs effectively. Strong communication skills for collaborating with drivers, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders. Problem-solving skills to handle operational challenges swiftly while maintaining safety standards. Attention to detail in record keeping, compliance documentation, and reporting processes.
