Driver Manager

Location: Jasper, TN Work model: On-site, in office Employment: Full-time, salary, with benefits Job Summary We are seeking an organized Driver Manager to oversee and coordinate a fleet of flatbed truck drivers. In this role, you will manage driver schedules, handle their dispatching, watch out for their safety, and be in constant communication with management and other logistics professionals. Your proactive approach will enhance driver efficiency, uphold safety standards, and deliver on your drivers needs. Duties Coordinate daily vehicle dispatching, ensuring timely delivery and pickup schedules aligned with customer needs and operational priorities Utilize transportation management systems such as McLeod and Samsara to plan routes, track drivers, and keep their home time and monetary goals on track. Manage driver assignments, monitor compliance with DOT regulations, and oversee vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure safety and reliability Communicate effectively with drivers via phone and internal communication channels to relay instructions, address issues, and provide support Oversee freight shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring accurate data entry into logistics platforms such as McLeod Foster strong relationships with drivers through clear phone call management and professional communication What we are looking for Flatbed truck driving experience preferred but not required Strong organization and communication skills Ability to multitask handling computer work while talking on phone Basic computer skills and ability to learn dispatch software Professional judgement when communicating with drivers and customers Reliable attendance for M-F 7-5 schedule Evening availability for phone calls as needed (usually not frequent) High school diploma or GED Schedule Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm with lunch from 12 - 1.
