Responsibilities Assist drivers with loading and unloading packages, ensuring safe manual handling practices are followed. Support route driving by helping navigate delivery schedules and directions. Help carry heavy or bulky items, utilizing material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or manual lifting techniques. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Maintain safety protocols during all manual handling activities, including safe lifting practices and weight handling in the workplace. Support warehouse operations by organizing packages, preparing items for delivery, and managing inventory as needed. Use mobile devices to document deliveries, obtain signatures, and communicate with the team effectively. Skills Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Experience in commercial driving, especially with box trucks, vans, or courier services. Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and load & unload procedures. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely. Strong understanding of traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance requirements. Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions during deliveries. Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles and adhering to safe driving practices at all times. Ability to lift heavy items safely while following manual handling best practices. Familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation, documentation, and communication purposes.
