Driver Helper

Job Overview As a Driver Helper, you’ll work alongside a delivery driver to move orders safely and efficiently from the vehicle to their destination. You’ll help load and unload goods, support the driver on the route, and provide courteous customer service at each stop. This active role suits someone who enjoys teamwork, hands-on work, and keeping deliveries on track. Duties Load and unload deliveries, using safe lifting practices and material handling equipment such as a pallet jack when appropriate. Assist with moving goods, handling heavy items, and following workplace weight-handling procedures. Support delivery driving in a box truck; help the driver navigate routes and use mobile devices to confirm delivery details. Follow traffic regulations and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements while assisting with commercial truck operations. Communicate professionally with customers and the delivery team, and help maintain an orderly vehicle and work area. Your impact: Careful handling and dependable customer service help customers receive their orders safely and on schedule. Requirements Ability to lift and move items safely, with attention to manual handling procedures. A valid driver’s license and safe driving habits may be required for assignments involving driving. Warehouse experience, warehouse operations, or delivery driver experience is helpful but not essential. Familiarity with commercial driving, commercial truck driving, manual transmission, personal vehicle delivery, courier work, or van driving is preferred. Experience with route driving, pallet jacks, mobile devices, or other material handling equipment is an advantage.
