Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver Helper to join our team at our Lumber Yard in Troy, VA. In this role, you will assist with loading and unloading custom millwork and building materials, supporting shop operations, and delivering orders. If you enjoy active work, staying on the move, and working standard weekday hours, this is a great opportunity for you! Key Responsibilities Loading & Unloading: Safely lift, move, and load heavy custom millwork products, building supplies, and materials onto delivery trucks and around the shop. Delivery Support: Accompany driver on delivery routes to safely unload orders at job sites and customer locations. Backup Driving: Drive non-CDL company delivery vehicles when needed to ensure timely deliveries. Shop Assistance: Assist the team with general material handling, staging, and keeping work areas safe and organized. Qualifications & Requirements Valid Driver’s License & Clean Record: Must have a clean driving record to qualify for coverage under our corporate auto insurance policy. Physical Capability: Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry heavy loads (up to 75+ lbs) and perform physical labor throughout the day. Reliability: Strong attendance, punctuality, and a solid work ethic. Non-CDL Driving: Comfortable operating non-CDL box trucks or delivery vehicles as needed.
