Driver Helper

Job Summary As a Driver Helper, you’ll support safe, reliable deliveries by preparing orders, loading vehicles, and assisting drivers on the road and at customer locations. You’ll help move products efficiently, provide courteous customer service, and follow traffic and workplace safety requirements. Your impact: Careful handling and timely delivery help customers receive their orders in good condition and make each delivery run smoother for the driver. Teamwork! Responsibilities Load and unload products, organize cargo, and secure items for transport; use a pallet jack and other material handling equipment when appropriate. Assist with box truck and van deliveries including route driving support and delivery stops. Move and position products using safe lifting practices; follow workplace weight-handling procedures for heavy items. Use mobile devices to review delivery details, record updates, and communicate with the driver. Provide helpful customer service and follow traffic regulations and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. Qualifications Ability to lift and move products safely, with sound manual handling practices. Driving or delivery driving experience is helpful; experience as a delivery driver, van driver, or courier is preferred. Warehouse experience, warehouse operations, and load-and-unload experience are beneficial. Familiarity with commercial driving, commercial truck driving, box trucks, or manual transmission is a plus. Experience with pallet jacks or other material handling equipment is preferred; willingness to follow safety procedures and learn delivery processes is essential.
