Driver

Overview Join our transportation team as a Driver and keep freight moving safely and reliably. You’ll operate commercial trucks on local delivery routes and over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, using GPS navigation to plan and follow assigned routes. Depending on the load and equipment, work may involve a tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailer, flatbed, or tanker. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help customers receive freight and keep supply chains moving. Responsibilities Drive commercial vehicles, including trucks and tractor-trailers, while following Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Complete delivery driving and route driving assignments; inspect vehicles and report maintenance or safety concerns. Load and unload freight, secure cargo, and handle logistics cargo using safe manual handling practices. Transport automobile shipments or, when assigned, hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with applicable regulations. Maintain delivery and trip records and communicate route or shipment issues promptly. Experience Required: Commercial truck driving or delivery driver experience, a valid license and endorsements appropriate to assigned equipment and cargo, and the ability to operate a manual transmission. Required: Safe driving practices and the ability to load, unload, and handle freight. Preferred: Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, automobile transportation, or OTR routes. Preferred: Familiarity with GPS navigation, commercial driving, truck driving, hazmat, and hazardous materials regulations.
