Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and security Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical challenges Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or related roles involving route driving and freight handling Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tractor-trailers, hazardous materials (Hazmat), or tanker vehicles as applicable Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazard materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading and manual handling Proficiency with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during trips Experience operating different types of trucks such as flatbed trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or refrigerated trailers is preferred Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles confidently and adhere to all safety procedures during load & unload operations Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance at all times Physical ability to load/unload freight using forklifts or other equipment when necessary Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a real impact!
