Driver – Community Services (Client Transportation & Meal Delivery) Employer: RIWC Employer Partner Location: Toronto, ON Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Pay Rate: $17.95–$25.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Saturday, including evenings as required Job Summary Our employer partner is seeking a reliable and compassionate Driver to transport clients to appointments and Adult Day Programs and deliver meals to clients in the community. The successful candidate will help ensure clients travel safely and comfortably while supporting timely meal deliveries and maintaining the organization's vehicles. Key Responsibilities Transport clients to and from appointments and Adult Day Programs using the organization's vehicles. Assist clients with safely entering and exiting vehicles and escort them to their destinations. Perform routine vehicle checks, monitor fuel and oil levels, and report maintenance concerns. Observe and report changes in clients' behaviour or other concerns to the appropriate staff. Deliver meals to clients according to scheduled routes and timelines. Follow traffic laws, road safety regulations, and organizational procedures. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respectful communication with clients and team members. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Ontario Bus Driver's Licence – Class B, C, E, or F. Minimum of 3 years of driving experience. Valid Ontario vehicle insurance, as applicable. Clean driving abstract. Strong knowledge of Ontario traffic laws and highway regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Experience working with seniors and people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Fluency in a second language is considered an asset. Satisfactory criminal background check. Candidates must be willing to register with Riverdale Immigrant Women’s Centre (RIWC) to access this employment opportunity. Working Conditions Full-time and part-time opportunities available. Must be available to work scheduled shifts between Monday and Saturday, including evenings as required. Duties involve client transportation, assisting clients with mobility, and meal deliveries in the community.
