Job Summary As a Driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably across local and over-the-road (OTR) routes. You’ll operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers, use GPS navigation to plan and follow routes, and handle cargo with care. Depending on the assignment, equipment may include refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help customers receive their freight in good condition and keep supply chains moving. Responsibilities Complete delivery driving and route driving assignments, including OTR routes, while following dispatch instructions and traffic laws. Inspect vehicles and trailers before and after trips; report maintenance concerns and document required checks. Load and unload freight, secure cargo, and perform manual handling using safe procedures. Transport automobile shipments or other logistics cargo, including hazardous materials when authorized. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including applicable hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements. Skills Essential: Valid commercial driving qualifications for assigned equipment; safe truck driving, commercial truck driving, and manual-transmission operation. Essential: Ability to use GPS navigation, manage delivery routes, and complete truck loading and unloading safely. Essential: Knowledge of freight handling, cargo securement, and applicable DOT, FMCSA, and hazardous materials regulations. Preferred: Delivery driver experience and familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation. Preferred: Experience with OTR driving routes, dangerous goods, and specialized logistics cargo handling.
