Driver

Overview As a Driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably across local and over-the-road (OTR) routes. You’ll use GPS navigation, follow assigned schedules, and handle cargo with care. Depending on the load and equipment, work may involve a refrigerated trailer, flatbed, tanker, or automobile transportation. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help customers receive their freight in good condition and keep supply chains moving. Duties Operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, on delivery and route-driving assignments; use manual transmission when required. Load and unload freight, secure cargo, and perform manual handling in line with cargo and equipment requirements. Inspect vehicles and trailers, report issues, and maintain required trip and delivery records. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, as well as hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements when applicable. Use GPS navigation, communicate route updates, and complete deliveries safely and professionally. Qualifications Required: Valid commercial driving credentials appropriate for the vehicle and routes; safe truck-driving and commercial-driving practices. Required: Ability to handle freight and perform truck loading and unloading safely. Preferred: Delivery driver experience, including delivery driving, route driving, or OTR driving routes. Preferred: Experience with logistics cargo handling and freight, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation. Hazmat (hazardous materials) qualifications and experience with applicable regulations are preferred when relevant to assigned loads.
