We’re looking for a dependable, safety-focused Driver/Crater to join our Supply Chain team. This hands-on role combines local delivery driving, product crating, shipment preparation, and warehouse support . You’ll operate a non-CDL flatbed truck to safely transport, load, secure, and unload materials, while also building crates and preparing products for shipment. When you’re not making deliveries, you’ll support warehouse and yard operations through material staging, loading and unloading, crating, and other shipping-related activities. You’ll also represent Algas-SDI professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and other external partners. What You’ll Do Safely operate a non-CDL flatbed truck for local deliveries, including loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials using appropriate equipment and load-securement methods. Build crates and prepare products for shipment, ensuring materials and equipment are properly protected, packaged, and secured for transportation. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Verify materials and delivery information to ensure products arrive at the correct destination. Coordinate with Shipping, Production, vendors, and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and other delivery-related needs. Maintain a clean, organized truck and properly care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Support warehouse and yard operations when not making deliveries, including material staging, loading, unloading, crating, and general material handling. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized. Follow company safety policies and applicable DOT requirements while representing Algas-SDI professionally with customers, vendors, and other external partners. What You’ll Bring Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. Previous experience operating a flatbed or similar light-duty delivery vehicle. Knowledge of safe load-securement practices and material handling. Experience with or willingness to learn crate building, product crating, and shipment preparation. Comfortable using basic hand and power tools for crate building, product preparation, and material handling. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification; training is available. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the broader Supply Chain team. Preferred Qualifications Experience in shipping, crating, packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling. Experience preparing industrial equipment or large/heavy products for shipment.
