Driver

Overview As a Driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably across local and over-the-road (OTR) routes. You’ll operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers, use GPS navigation to follow routes, and handle cargo with care. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help customers receive their goods and keep supply chains moving. Responsibilities Drive commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, and follow assigned route plans. Load and unload freight; secure cargo and perform manual handling as needed. Inspect vehicles and cargo, and report safety concerns or delivery issues. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements when applicable. Use appropriate equipment and procedures for flatbed, tanker, or automobile transportation loads when assigned. Experience Required: Valid commercial driving qualifications for the assigned vehicle and applicable routes; safe truck driving and delivery driving practices. Required: Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform truck loading and unloading tasks. Preferred: Delivery driver experience, commercial truck driving, freight logistics cargo handling, and route driving. Preferred: Experience with OTR driving, refrigerated trailers, flatbed or tanker loads, automobile transportation, and hazmat shipments. Knowledge of applicable DOT, FMCSA, and hazardous materials regulations is an asset.
