Drayage Dispatch Coordinator

Job title: Drayage Dispatch Coordinator Company: Crescent Global Logistics Inc. Location: Etobicoke, Toronto, ON [On-site / Hybrid] or Remote Employment type: [Full-time] Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift, with some after-hours availability (Weekends if required) The role: We're looking for an organized, calm and responsive coordinator to be the first point of contact for our customers and carriers. You'll keep containers moving, keep everyone informed and make sure nothing slips through the cracks. What you'll do: - Answer incoming calls and respond to emails from customers, carriers and partners - Track and trace import and export containers from rail arrival to delivery and empty return - Monitor Last Free Days, per diem and export cutoffs, and flag risks early - Book and confirm terminal and delivery appointments - Coordinate with carriers on pickups, deliveries, rate confirmations and paperwork - Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers on releases, holds and documents - Send clear, timely status updates to customers at every step - Keep load records accurate in our TMS - Support carrier onboarding and document collection What we're looking for: - Experience in container drayage, intermodal, freight brokerage, dispatch or freight forwarding operations - Understanding of rail terminals, LFDs, per diem, demurrage and container release processes - Excellent spoken and written English - Strong organization and follow-up; comfortable handling several shipments at once - Calm and professional on the phone, especially when things change fast - Comfortable with email, spreadsheets and a TMS Nice to have - Knowledge of CN and CPKC terminal systems and GTA drayage lanes - Experience working with customs brokers on releases and holds - Punjabi or Hindi (helpful for working with our carrier network) Why join us: - Join a growing brokerage at the ground floor and help shape how we operate - Work directly with the founder and learn the business end to end - A practical, no-nonsense team that values clear communication
