Drayage Carrier Manager
ConfidentialDrayage Carrier Manager Remote (U.S.) | Full-time | Reports to the CEO DrayPoint is one of the largest drayage carriers in the U.S., is hiring a Drayage Carrier Manager to build and run our carrier network for the markets we broker — starting with LA/Long Beach, where we move significant volume entirely through partner carriers. What You'll Do Build the carrier network: Source, vet, and onboard drayage carriers nationwide, with LA/Long Beach as the immediate priority. Cover loads: Match brokered freight to carriers daily — rates, capacity, service. Own coverage in the markets where we don't run our own trucks. Manage carrier relationships: Be the go-to for our partner carriers — performance, issues, rates. Keep the best ones close. Track the network: Maintain carrier records, insurance/compliance, and performance scorecards. Who You Are Deep drayage carrier relationships — you can name the carriers you'd call in LA/Long Beach today, and in other port markets Background in carrier sales, carrier ops, or capacity at a drayage broker or 3PL with port volume Know the drayage world cold: chassis, port appointments, per diem, demurrage Self-managed and comfortable being measured on output — loads covered, margin, carriers onboarded Strong negotiator by phone; relentless follow-up Compensation & Benefits Competitive base plus generous, uncapped, residual commission - you keep earning on the accounts you land, month after month, as they keep shipping.
