Donation Sorter / Inventory Associate (Part-Time) – Thrift Store Backroom

Job Title: Sorter / Floater – Thrift Store Backroom Company: FourLeaf Thrift Location: Copiague, NY Pay: $17.00 per hour Job Type: Part-Time (25 Hours / Week) Schedule: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday, 2:00–7:00 PM Job Description FourLeaf Thrift is a fast-paced, community-focused resale shop in Copiague. We turn quality donations into a great shopping experience. We're looking for a reliable, high-energy Sorter / Floater to keep our backroom running every day. If you like staying busy, making quick decisions, and seeing a messy pile turn into an organized space, this role is for you! What You'll Do: Sort & Triage Donations: Unpack incoming donations, cull damaged or low-value items, and sort the keepers by department (clothing, media, hard goods, seasonal, high-value). Keep Pricers Stocked: End every shift with the pricing staging areas fully stocked for the next morning. Hang & Stage: Hang clothing and stage large items for pricing, then bring tagged pieces to the sales floor. Keep the Backroom Clear: Remove trash and empty boxes, bring in curbside donations, move B-stock out, and manage the holiday and seasonal storage containers. Support the Team: Help the storefront when needed. After training, you'll also prep media for pricing. What We're Looking For: A "throughput-first" mindset: you work quickly and make decisions fast. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work without constant supervision. Able to switch tasks quickly as store needs change. Friendly and professional with customers dropping off donations. Available for all five scheduled shifts (Sun, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat, 2–7 PM). Thrift, retail, warehouse, or stockroom experience is a plus. We'll train the right person. Bonus: Having a valid drivers license, clean driving record and able to perform deliveries would be a bonus. Physical Requirements: Regularly lift, push, and stack 50+ lbs.
