Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles including box trucks, vans, and personal vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload products using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Follow established routes efficiently using mobile devices to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations. Deliver orders directly to customers’ homes or businesses with a focus on exceptional customer service and professionalism. Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during loading, unloading, and delivery processes. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments or delivery issues to optimize performance. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving or warehouse operations involving material handling equipment operation is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving, including box truck or van driver roles, is highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks such as moving heavy items safely and efficiently. Knowledge of route driving techniques, adhering to traffic laws, and safe lifting practices is essential. Experience working with mobile devices for navigation and communication enhances efficiency on the job. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles (manual transmission) is a plus but not mandatory. Previous work involving warehouse operations or heavy lifting tasks will support success in this role.
