We are seeking an experienced Domestic & International Logistics and Shipping Coordinator to manage and coordinate the shipment of IVM products throughout the United States and around the world. Job Overview The Domestic & International Logistics and Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating IVM's outbound and inbound shipments, including domestic parcel and freight shipments as well as international shipments. This individual will work closely with IVM's production, sales, purchasing, accounting, and operations teams as well as outside carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and customers. The successful candidate will understand that international shipping requires more than scheduling transportation. Accuracy in documentation, classification, routing, regulatory requirements, and communication is essential. Responsibilities Domestic Shipping & Logistics · Coordinate domestic shipments using parcel, LTL, FTL, expedited, and other transportation services. · Obtain and compare freight quotes and recommend appropriate shipping methods based on cost, service requirements, and delivery schedules. · Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and freight providers. · Prepare bills of lading and other required domestic shipping documentation. · Track shipments from origin through final delivery and proactively address delays or transportation issues. · Coordinate shipping requirements with IVM's production and warehouse personnel. · Maintain accurate shipment records and supporting documentation. · Assist with freight claims involving damaged, lost, or delayed shipments. · Evaluate carrier performance, pricing, and service levels. · Identify opportunities to reduce freight expense while maintaining appropriate service levels. International Shipping & Logistics · Coordinate international shipments by air, ocean, parcel, and other appropriate transportation methods. · Work directly with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, customers, and other parties involved in international shipments. · Prepare and/or coordinate commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, air waybills, and other required export documentation. · Understand and appropriately apply Incoterms to international transactions. · Assist with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications and other product-classification requirements. · Coordinate Automated Export System (AES) / Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings when required. · Maintain shipment documentation necessary to support IVM's export-compliance and record-retention requirements. · Coordinate country-specific documentation and shipping requirements. · Monitor international shipments through customs clearance and final delivery. · Work with customs brokers and freight forwarders to resolve documentation or clearance issues. · Remain current on changing international shipping requirements that could affect IVM shipments. · Help ensure that international shipments comply with applicable U.S. export regulations and destination-country requirements.
