Domestic Coordinator / Dispatcher | Atlanta, GA | Salary up to $60,000 This role will be responsible for coordinating domestic transportation, managing daily shipments, communicating with carriers and customers, and ensuring freight moves efficiently from pickup through final delivery. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within domestic freight, transportation, dispatch, or freight forwarding, with strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Benefits Salary up to $60,000, depending on experience Benefits package Paid time off and company holidays Opportunity to join an established and growing freight organization Career growth and advancement opportunities Key Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch domestic freight shipments from pickup through delivery Arrange and manage FTL, LTL, drayage, and local transportation as required Source and coordinate carriers based on shipment requirements Obtain and negotiate transportation rates with carriers and service providers Track shipments and proactively manage delays, exceptions, and delivery issues Communicate regularly with customers, carriers, drivers, and internal teams Confirm pickup and delivery appointments and ensure all requirements are met Prepare and maintain accurate shipment and transportation documentation Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to customers Resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently Ensure shipments are handled in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures Assist with invoicing, rate confirmation, PODs, and other transportation documentation Maintain accurate records and ensure all shipment information is updated in the company’s systems Requirements 2+ years of experience in domestic freight, transportation, dispatch, logistics, or freight forwarding Strong knowledge of U.S. domestic transportation Experience with FTL and LTL shipments preferred Previous experience working with carriers, drivers, and transportation providers Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously Comfortable working in a fast-paced freight environment Strong attention to detail and follow-through Experience with transportation or freight forwarding software is a plus
