Duties Provide energetic and safe dog walking sessions tailored to each pet’s needs, including exercise routines and behavioral reinforcement Offer professional pet sitting services in clients’ homes or owners’ residences, including overnight in-home care when required Transport pets safely to vet appointments, grooming sessions, or other destinations while ensuring their comfort and security Administer basic pet care tasks such as feeding, administering medication, and monitoring health status Handle animal restraint and behavior management using positive reinforcement techniques and proper handling skills Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ activities, health status, and any concerns or updates Maintain detailed logs of pet activities, behaviors, feeding schedules, and transportation details to ensure continuity of care Requirements Prior experience with dog training, animal handling, or veterinary-related roles such as veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Strong knowledge of animal behavior, pet exercise routines, and pet safety protocols Ability to handle various animals including dogs, cats, and equines with patience and confidence Comfortable performing outdoor work in different weather conditions and lifting heavy items such as pet supplies or equipment when necessary Excellent client communication skills to provide updates and build trust with pet owners Experience with overnight in-home care or extended pet sitting preferred Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on pets’ lives while enjoying the flexibility of working independently.
