• Sort, pack, and load or unload containers with packages and freight.
• Prepare materials for shipment, including palletizing and labeling.
• Operate scanners to accurately record shipping and package details.
• Drive forklifts or pallet jacks to move shipments safely within the warehouse.
• Ensure proper separation of freight and documents based on destination and priority.
• Follow all safety and operational procedures to maintain a clean and efficient dock area.
Qualifications and Experience of Dockworker:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in freight handling or warehouse operations is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with scanner devices and warehouse inventory systems.
• Forklift certification or experience is preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
