Dockworker

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dockworker to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading, unloading, and handling freight within our warehouse and shipping areas. Your energy and attention to safety will ensure smooth operations, timely shipments, and a secure work environment. Responsibilities Load and unload trucks using various materials handling equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and order pickers to move materials within the warehouse Assist with order picking and packing using RF scanners to ensure accurate shipping and receiving processes Manage inventory by organizing stock in designated areas, conducting manual handling tasks, and maintaining accurate records Follow all safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting freight for damage or discrepancies Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area to facilitate efficient operations Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related warehouse operations preferred Hands-on experience with order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management systems Ability to operate warehouse material handling equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes safely Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly throughout the shift Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and adherence to safety protocols is essential Previous warehouse supervisor experience is a plus but not required Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team Join us in this energetic role where your efforts directly contribute to our operational success!
