Dock Worker/Forklift Operator

Job Summary As a Dock Worker/Forklift Operator, you’ll move materials safely through warehouse operations, supporting accurate order fulfillment and timely shipping and receiving. Your impact: Careful loading, unloading, and inventory handling help coworkers keep orders moving and customers receive the right materials. Responsibilities Load and unload shipments using a forklift, lift truck, Hi-Lo, pallet jack, or other material handling equipment. Operate equipment such as reach trucks, order pickers, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks when qualified and authorized. Pick orders, scan barcodes, and update inventory in a warehouse management system. Follow forklift safety protocols, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, and production safety standards. Perform basic equipment checks, report repair needs, and maintain an orderly dock and work area. Requirements Warehouse experience in warehouse distribution, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management is preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely; equipment-specific qualifications may be required. Knowledge of materials handling, manual handling, order picking, and safe load and unload practices. Able to perform heavy lifting and use basic math to verify quantities and shipment details. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
