Pay: $250/day, flat rate. Weekly pay + Benefits Job Summary Pacific Channel Transportation is in search of a Full-time warehouse professional to assist with physically unloading and loading trucks while maintaining a high level of organization during a specified shift to ensure freight is properly loaded and unloaded to facilitate on-time, error-free deliveries. About 70% of the time, you’ll be doing dock work, organizing and scanning items to get them ready for the drivers. The other 20% of the time, you may need to cover a delivery route if necessary. If you cover a route, you’ll be paid the driver rate, which starts at $300 per day. The position is primarily dock work, with occasional driving responsibilities. YOU MUST HAVE HELD YOUR CDL-A FOR MINIMUM OF 2 FULL YEARS TO QUALIFY FOR THIS JOB. NO EXCEPTIONS, THIS IS AN INSURANACE REQUIREMENT. Duties and Responsibilities Ability to work Monday through Friday 8am-4pm. Proven record of reliability. Knowledge of warehouse layout to access products and warehouse contents in efficient and timely manner. Loads and unload freight using suitable material – handling equipment safely and efficiently. Utilize RF scanner to allow package tracking to ensure on time, error free delivery. Maintain accuracy when sorting out packages based on customer and delivery routes. Touch freight – must be able to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs. Ability to drive in winter conditions. Ability to operate a manual or electric pallet jack and/or forklift preferred. Protects company assets and confidential information in accordance with company policies and procedures. Conducts daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local and internal laws, regulations, and policies. Drive a CDL vehicle – 53 foot trailer. Communicate delivery updates to customers. Additional duties and responsibilities as required. Qualifications Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Must be able to lift up to/more than 70 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent experience. Proven successful experience as a dock/warehouse team member.
