Dock/Clerk

Job Summary : RIST Trnsport, a leading transportation company, is currently seeking a dedicated Dock Worker/Clerk to join our team for RIST Transport in Latham NY. As a Dock Worker/Clerk , you will play a crucial role in the efficient loading and unloading of materials in our warehouse facilities and put togther the bills/paperwork for our overnight truck runs.. We value individuals with experience in heavy equipment operation, material handling, and freight bill paperwork, particularly those with LTL experience. 1:00pm to 9:00pm Monday thru Friday, weekends off. It is expected that half your working hours will be spent using a forklift, and half data entry. Responsibilities: Load and unload materials efficiently using forklifts and other heavy equipment. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Utilize warehouse management systems and RF scanners for inventory tracking. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet distribution goals. Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues. · Assist in Driver Check In to process Driver Paperwork, when necessary. . Prepare paperwork and complete dispatch for Linehaul night time runs. · Assist Outbound Supervisor in the coordination for linehaul dispatch, when necessary. · Communicate and coordinate with P&D Dispatch and Linehaul Dispatcher to prepare and execute outbound plan, when necessary. Requirements: Ability to Operate a Forklift Freight billing, Bills of Lading, knowledge and experience.
