Responsibilities of Distribution Warehouse Associate:
• Receiving, unpacking, and stocking newly received freight
• Handle orders by selecting, packing, wrapping, and organizing them for timely UPS and LTL dispatch
• Handle the loading and unloading of trucks in a secure and efficient manner
• Assist individuals visiting the store with their orders, whether communicated in person or over the phone
• Processing returns from customers and vendors according to company policies
• Preserve the warehouse in an orderly, spotless, and safe manner
• Secure materials from nearby providers as needed
• Learn industry-specific warehouse tasks, including cutting wire and material handling
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment, manufacturing, or logistics experience is preferred.
• Experience with forklifts or other types of powered industrial machinery can provide a valuable skillset.
• Having experience with warehouse oversight software, inventory management procedures, shipping solutions, or RF scanning devices is considered advantageous.
• Thriving in a Warehouse Associate position is achievable for individuals who portray reliability, adaptability, collaboration, and attention to detail.
Requirements:
• Having a high school diploma or equivalent GED is advantageous.
• Previous exposure to warehouse, logistics, or distribution training can be beneficial.
• Well-versed in warehouse operations with over a year of practical experience
• Core computer skills and capability to engage with a Microsoft-driven system effectively
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Although beneficial, prior forklift knowledge is not obligatory
Work Environment:
Operating in warehouse and outdoor locations, facing challenges posed by hot and cold temperatures.
Physical Capabilities:
• Competent in standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive duties in the warehouse consistently through the shift.
• Skill in managing, transporting, applying pressure to, or relocating materials and packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Proficient in ensuring safety while working around warehouse equipment, conveyors, and shifting inventory.
• Proficiency in sustaining optimal productivity throughout work conducted in warehouse and distribution sectors.
