PSEG is not offering visa sponsorship for this position. Job Summary At this time, only current PSEG employees are being considered. This is a first level supervisory position in the Electric Division. This is a PSE&G position and as such may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and work schedule during storm/outage restoration efforts. Reporting to an alternate work location may also be required. Job Responsibilities Achieve the desired results of the Electric Transmission and Distribution Organization (Vegetation Management) utilizing PSEG values and tools, sound management practices and skills, as well as a total commitment to teamwork. Assist requesting divisions in emergency restoration efforts during “routine”, minor and major events. Oversee the activities of Vegetation Management associates (PSE&G and Vendor Resources) to ensure safe and efficient vegetation related activities outside plant facilities. Supervise the vegetation management aspects of construction of outside plant electric transmission and distribution facilities. Assist in the training and development of personnel. Promote safety principles. Counsel associates, as required. Assign and direct work to accomplish the desired results in ashame, efficient, and expeditious manner. Accept call out assignments. Must be willing to respond outside of normal hours. Ability to layout/supervise the work offshore. Ability to train/instruct personnel in work practices and use of tools and equipment. Extensive knowledge of applicable portions of Company/Union agreement. Must exhibit ability to recognize unusual conditions and take corrective action. As an employee of PSE&G, during storm/outage restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and the regular work schedule. May also be required to work in an alternate location. Job Specific Qualifications High school diploma or GED Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance and oversight of Distribution and/or Transmission vegetation line clearance activities.
